One of my biggest challenges as Product Manager for Dexper was partnering with Figma, a design-focused company with exacting standards, to create a customized virtual event platform that met their needs for precision, accessibility and aesthetic.
Using Dexper's proprietary visual editor that I helped develop, I led the product team in styling a platform that reflected Figma's sleek design sensibilities. We conducted extensive stakeholder interviews and research to deeply understand Figma's brand, audience and virtual event goals. I worked cross-functionally to execute on our learning, iteratively reviewing designs and features with Figma stakeholders.
Accessibility was another key focus. I prioritized developing advanced closed captioning, alt text, and other inclusive features. My team worked tirelessly to ensure Figma's virtual events, centered around design, could be accessed by all.
The end result was a beautifully designed, highly accessible virtual event platform that delighted Figma and its audience. Figma's creators were able to share their content and charismatically represent their brand before a global community. The success of these virtual events helped cement a long-term partnership between Figma and Dexper.
